Make your own disinfecting wipes
Here in Michigan I have been having a heck of a time finding disinfecting wipes. I scoured the internet for them, checked every store, but they are nowhere to be found. So, I found a way to make my own. Here it is. I promise, it doesn't get much easier.
You will need:
Roll of paper towels
Container that will fit half a roll of paper towels
Essential oil (optional)
Find a rather tall sealable container - I used a Rubbermaid tall 1 gallon one.
Cut a roll of paper towels in half. Make sure you use a heavy-duty brand so that once they soak up all of the liquid, they don't disintegrate. I used Viva Brand.
Depending on the thickness of your towels, you can use varying amounts of liquid. For every cup of water, you add one tablespoon of bleach and a few drops of your favorite essential oil (optional). I ended up having to use 3 cups of water, 3 tbsp of bleach and 6 drops of my Thieves Blend oil for a super delicious scent.
Once the towels soak up all of the liquid, remove the cardboard tube from the middle and pull the first towel from the middle out. Voila! Disinfecting wipes that meet CDC standards.
